I believe it is the client who drives the therapeutic path. To build a strong therapeutic relationship, I incorporate different styles and methods of therapy to design individualized treatment based on the client’s needs and place in life.

Spending 15 years working in community mental health, hospital emergency rooms and behavioral health hospitals, I have had the unique pleasure of assisting patients/clients who are in all different stages of crisis, life or self-growth.

I have had the opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team as a case manager and therapist, giving me the ability to interact with patients/clients of various backgrounds. Many people I have worked with suffer from depression, anxiety, suicide ideation, low self-esteem, family, work or school stressors.

One focus that is special to me are adolescence (ages 14 to 18 years old), I started my career in mental health working with adolescent patients in a long-term residential treatment facility. Being able to build trusting relationships, teaching and show the adolescent different ways to think or explore their world and guiding them along in finding who they are or want to be in life is exciting to me.

Now in my private practice I'm looking forward to focusing on individual clients and their families, combing therapy along with case management needs all the while using the knowledge I have gained working in the community. My hope is that I will be able to guide and support my clients, guiding them through their path, helping them face their challenges head on to obtain their personal goals.
